Veneer Equipment

The Veneer Equipment category is made up of any machinery used for the slicing, peeling, sizing (guillotine) or splicing (stitching or gluing) of veneer prior to laminating it to backer board for use in the manufacture of veneered components. Veneer is generally peeled or sliced in veneer producing facilities to produce thin flitches of more valuable wood species which are then shipped to secondary sector factories (furniture, kitchens, mouldings, etc...) where it is sized and spliced to make production flitches which are then laminated (overlaid) over less valuable species or particle board to give a superior appearance for added value.
