Sanders - DeNibbing and Brush

Sanders - DeNibbing and Brush are sanders used for denibbing panels between coats of sealer and top coat finishing or to settle raised grain on white wood panels prior to applying sealers. They are generally 1100mm (43”) to 1600mm (60”) wide and often form a station in a high production finishing line. The finish sanding is generally done by scotch brite, or similar sanding strips inserted between rows of brush on a rotating drum or brush belt (when cross sanding). Many machines have multiple heads with bi-directional rotation and often also bi-directional cross belts to attack, and remove, raised grain from all directions. Some have electronic segmented heads with wide sanding belts, generally also bi-directional.
